Days after Anurag Thakur’s "whose caste is unknown" remark against Rahul Gandhi, a war of words erupted between the BJP and Congress leaders as the latter accused the saffron party of attempting to "insult Gandhi."
Taking a potshot at Anurag Thakur, Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate said that she had no interest in knowing his caste.
She added that the former Congress chief’s caste by asking those people "whose rights he fights for". She gave the example of vegetable seller Rameshwar, Nirbhaya’s mother, and the family of Hathras victim, among others.
