Delhi Tragedy: Saurabh Bhardwaj Slams Police Over Death Of 25-Year-Old Kamal In Janakpuri

On this Special Report, the focus is on the tragic death of 25-year-old Kamal Dahiya, who lost his life after falling into a 15-foot deep open pit in Delhi’s Janakpuri. The pit was allegedly dug by the Delhi Jal Board for ongoing work. Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Saurabh Bhardwaj joined the programme to discuss the incident, stating, ‘In this particular case, there is a cover-up which is happening at the level of police and the government.’ Bhardwaj alleged that the victim’s family visited six police stations but received no help, and claimed the police failed to track the victim’s active phone location which could have saved his life. While the administration has suspended three officials and initiated a probe, Bhardwaj argued that the crime scene was ‘dressed up’ after the incident to hide negligence. The report also highlights the political blame game erupting in the national capital over civic safety and administrative accountability.
