In Delhi, India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar met Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi and said the visit strengthens the friendship between India and Afghanistan. They had spoken earlier about a terrorist attack in Pahalgam and an earthquake in Kunar and Nangarhar, but meeting in person helps them share views, find common goals, and work closer together. Jaishankar noted that India sent relief supplies to the earthquake-affected areas within hours last month and wants to help rebuild homes there.
