Delhi Railway Station Stampede: Railways To Probe Incident, High-level Inquiry Ordered
Railway officials have informed that they will brief the media about the facts after their investigation of what happened at the New Delhi railway station.
They also informed that there are any deaths so far but it cannot be ruled out. Meanwhile, all senior railway officials are present at the railway station.
A tragic stampede occurred at a railway station in Delhi, causing chaos and leading to multiple injuries and potential loss of life. In response to this devastating incident, the Indian Railways has announced a high-level inquiry to investigate the circumstances surrounding the stampede. The probe aims to identify the causes of the overcrowding and examine any lapses in safety protocols that may have contributed to the disaster.
In Delhi, stampede at railway station saw at least 15 injured. Among those injured, 11 were women, 3 mean and 1 child. The stampede occurred due to overcrowding at the station. 10 ambulances reached the spot. The sudden rush was on platforms 14,15 and 16, as two trains to Prayagraj Mahakumbh were delayed. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has confirmed that the situation has now been brought under control, with 4 special trains arranged to clear the sudden rush.
