Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced the formation of a new high-level committee to tackle the city’s worsening pollution crisis. Reporting from the Delhi Secretariat, India Today correspondent Sushant Mehra confirmed the committee will be chaired by the CM herself and include experts and central government representatives. However, environmentalist Jai Dhar Gupta dismissed the move as "too little, too late," arguing that Delhi already has sufficient monitoring infrastructure. He stated, ‘I think we need actually it sounds like they’re just biding time to Holi so that all this uproar and the emergency passes.’ The report highlights the ongoing political and administrative challenges in addressing the toxic air quality in the National Capital Region, with strict instructions issued for dust control and water sprinkling.
