The Delhi Police has registered a case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), including rioting and damage to public property. Five individuals have already been arrested, and authorities are using video footage to identify other miscreants. The case has been handed over to the Special Staff of the Central District to probe the conspiracy angle. Despite meetings with the Aman Committee and Nagrik Suraksha Samiti, certain ‘bad elements’ disrupted the process, leading to heightened security in the area.
