The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has launched a scathing attack on the BJP over the crackdown on old vehicles in Delhi. AAP leader Atishi termed the ban on 10-year-old diesel and 15-year-old petrol vehicles as a ‘tughlaki farman’ (dictatorial order). The new rule mandates the impounding of these vehicles, with digital records to be maintained even at petrol pumps. Atishi argued that a vehicle’s age does not necessarily correlate with its pollution levels, stating, ‘If the vehicles are maintained properly, they do not pollute even when they are old.’ The AAP alleges that this move affects 62,00,000 vehicles in Delhi and suggests a possible collusion between the BJP and automobile manufacturers to boost new vehicle sales. #aap #bjp #delhivehicleban #itwebvideos #airpollution #fuelpolicy #autoindustry #urbantransport #environmentalpolicy
