In a significant development regarding the fatal road accident in Delhi’s Dwarka, the brother of the 17-year-old accused has spoken out to defend the minor. Speaking to India Today, the unidentified speaker claimed that the victim, Sahil Dhaneshra, was speeding and emerged suddenly from behind a DTC bus before the head-on collision. He stated, ‘The only fault of my brother was that he did not have a license,’ while describing the accused as a ‘gold medalist student’ with a strong academic record. The brother further denied allegations of fleeing the scene, asserting that they took the injured victim to the hospital. However, investigations reveal the SUV had over 13 pending challans for overspeeding and rash driving. Reports also suggest the occupants were filming Instagram reels at the time of the crash. Despite the family’s defensive stance, the minor faces serious charges for driving without a valid license and causing a fatal accident.
