A man was killed after being run over by a Delhi Police PCR van near the RK Ashram metro station. Following the incident, an Assistant Sub-Inspector and a constable have been suspended, and an FIR is being registered. The victim has been identified as Ganga Ram Tiwari, a tea vendor from Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, who ran a stall in the area. Eyewitnesses at the scene allege the police personnel in the vehicle were intoxicated. The victim’s son also claimed he was prevented from taking pictures after the crash. Former DGP Vikram Singh commented on the incident, stating, "the callous indifference of the criminal act, that goes without saying." The police are investigating the claims, which include whether the driver accidentally pressed the accelerator. The victim’s family comes from an economically weak background.
