Delhi Encounter: 4 Most-Wanted Gangsters From Bihar Shot Dead | Bihar Elections | Rohini
A spectacular police encounter in Rohini, Delhi, early Thursday morning claimed the lives of four of Bihar’s most wanted gangsters, including Ranjan Pathak. The operation, which was carried out in partnership with the Delhi Police Crime Branch and Bihar Police, targeted members of the notorious Sigma Gang, who were implicated in several murders, extortions, and organized criminal networks across Bihar. Four notorious criminals, Ranjan Pathak, Bimlesh Mahto, Manish Pathak, and Aman Thakur, were slain in a brutal gunfight near Rohini’s Bahadur Shah Marg at around 2:20 a.m., according to police sources.
The encounter is a huge step forward in combating interstate criminal networks that operate between Bihar and Delhi. The Sigma Gang, led by Pathak, had been growing its power in Sitamarhi and the surrounding areas through contract killings and violent extortion rings. With forensic teams inspecting the location and senior police officials from both states directing the investigation, this incident highlights the increased cooperation between the Delhi Police and the Bihar Police in combating organized crime.
