This approach contrasts with the previous Aam Aadmi Party government’s strict ban on all firecrackers. Green crackers are known to contain fewer harmful chemicals, thereby reducing pollution compared to traditional fireworks. The Supreme Court previously permitted the manufacture of green crackers but banned their sale in the national capital.
