A significant security breach occurred as Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was attacked during a ‘Jan Sunwai’ at her residence. The assailant, identified as Rajesh, a 41-year-old from Rajkot, approached the Chief Minister under the pretext of seeking help for a relative in prison before attacking her. CCTV footage revealed the attacker had been conducting reconnaissance of the area near the CM’s personal residence for 24 hours prior to the incident. The police have taken the man into custody and are investigating his mobile phone records and contacts, suspecting a possible "insider role" due to his knowledge of the Chief Minister’s movements. The Chief Minister is reportedly in a stable condition as the investigation into the security lapse continues at the Civil Lines Police Station.
