A senior Finance Ministry official, Navjot Singh, was killed and his wife critically injured after their motorcycle was hit by a BMW near Dholakua in Delhi. According to the FIR accessed by India Today, the victim’s wife pleaded with the accused to be taken to a nearby hospital. Instead, they were transported in a van to a facility 19 kilometers away. The Delhi Police have filed charges including death by negligence and destruction of evidence, suggesting an attempt to destroy the trail of events. The victim’s son stated, "The collision might have been an accident. But the events that transpired after were definitely a murder." He alleged his parents were deliberately taken to a hospital linked to the accused. The driver of the car, Gagandeep Makkad, has been taken into custody.
