A high-intensity car bomb explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort has resulted in at least nine fatalities and numerous injuries, prompting a multi-agency investigation. An FIR has been registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, the Explosives Act, and the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita, with specialized teams from the Delhi Police, FSL, and NSG collecting evidence from the scene. According to Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha, ‘Today, at around 6.52 pm, a slow-moving vehicle stopped at the red light. An explosion happened in that vehicle, and due to the explosion, nearby vehicles were also damaged’.
