Following the 10th November car explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a Cabinet Committee on Security meeting, with the government officially designating the event a ‘heinous terror incident’. The investigation has been transferred to the National Investigative Agency (NIA), which is probing a suspected ‘white collar’ terror module. According to Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, ‘The Cabinet directs that the investigation into the incident be pursued with the utmost urgency and professionalism so that the perpetrators, their collaborators, and their sponsors are identified and brought to justice without delay’.
