As Delhi’s air quality remained in the ‘very poor’ category for the ninth consecutive day, the Delhi government issued an advisory for private offices to implement 50% work from home. This precautionary measure falls under Stage 3 of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) and follows a directive from the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), which has tightened the pollution response framework based on a Supreme Court order. A resident expressed their concern, stating, ‘Something needs to be done to stop it, otherwise we won’t be able to see each other standing next to each other’. The overall air quality index in the city was recorded at 370.
