The party accused Gandhi of violating the Model Code of Conduct and "crossing all limits of political decency." The controversy erupted after Gandhi alleged that a special pool was created in Delhi for the PM to perform Chhath Puja and mocked him as someone who would "dance if asked to." In response, Modi hit back during a rally in Bihar, accusing the Congress and RJD of insulting the Chhath festival-deeply revered among Biharis and Poorvanchalis-and warning that Bihar’s people would not tolerate such disrespect.
