Cyclone Dana is moving towards the coasts of Odisha and West Bengal, with strong winds and heavy rainfall already reported. Over 203 trains have been cancelled and flights to and from the capital cities of both states have been suspended. The storm is expected to cross the North Odisha and West Bengal coast between Puri and Sagar Island. The Met Department has issued a red alert, with the cyclone threatening to impact nearly half of Odisha’s population. Rescue and relief teams from the army, navy, and coast guard are on high alert.
