Congress's Nepal Warning: 'India's Situation Worse', Sparks Political Row | India Today News

Congress leader Udit Raj has commented on the unrest in Nepal, suggesting that the situation in India is potentially more dangerous. He stated that widespread corruption is the main cause of the unrest in Nepal and made allegations regarding the assets of politicians and officials in India, specifically mentioning Adani and Ambani. According to the Congress leader, what prevents similar unrest in India are the deep roots of democracy laid by the Congress party, particularly by Jawaharlal Nehru. He was quoted as saying, "The roots of democracy are very deep. Otherwise, such a situation would have happened here as well. In fact, the situation is more dangerous than that." The Bharatiya Janata Party has countered these remarks, calling them "mere fear-mongering" and claiming that there are voices in Nepal who want a Prime Minister like Modi.
