Congress MP and former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi stirred up a new controversy on Friday by casting doubt on the surgical strikes carried out after the 2019 Pulwama attack. He questioned the occurrence and effectiveness of these strikes, saying, "Until now, I haven’t seen where exactly the surgical strike took place, where people were killed, or where in Pakistan it happened. If a bomb is dropped inside our own country, we can see it, so why can’t we see the results of these strikes?
Channi also expressed skepticism about the claims of the surgical strikes against Pakistan, stating, "They say they conducted surgical strikes, but I haven’t seen any evidence or proof. No one has seen or felt any such strike happening.
