Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to lay the foundation stone for Coca-Cola’s new bottling plant in the Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) area of Gorakhpur on September 4, 2025. This Rs 700 crore investment marks a significant boost to industrial development in the region, following the existing PepsiCo bottling facility. The event is part of a larger initiative inaugurating and laying foundations for projects worth Rs 2,251 crore, including units from companies like Techno Plast Packaging (Rs 96 crore, 250+ jobs), APL Apollo Tubes, Green Tech India, and Kapila Agri Industries (Rs 640 crore combined). It underscores UP’s growing appeal as an investment hub, promising thousands of direct and indirect jobs, enhanced farmer incomes through ancillary opportunities, and positioning Gorakhpur as a key center for manufacturing and employment in Purvanchal.
