Delhi Chief Minister Atishi recently addressed a press conference, highlighting the significant expansion of the Delhi Metro under the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government. She noted that the Metro network has grown 1.5 times faster in the last 10 years compared to the previous decade, with 200 km of lines added between 2014 and 2024.¹ This expansion has not only boosted the city’s economy but also helped reduce pollution. The Metro’s daily ridership has also increased from 24 lakh in 2014 to 60 lakh in the current year.
