Chinese FM Wang Yi Meets PM Narendra Modi: India-China Reset Amid Border Tension And US Tariff War?

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Tuesday in an attempt to move past strains in the relationship following violent border clashes in 2020. The visit is part of efforts to put ties back on track, with External Affairs Minister Reshesh Shankar stating that after "a difficult period in our relationship, our two nations now seek to move ahead." However, no significant forward movement on military disengagement and de-escalation at the LAC in the Ladakh sector was reported. The meeting is also seen as a preparatory visit before Prime Minister Modi’s trip to Tianjin for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit. The diplomatic engagement occurs against the backdrop of US tariffs on India and with Wang Yi scheduled to travel to Pakistan next, raising questions about a genuine thaw in India-China relations. #indiachinatalks #wangyimodimeet #bordertension #itwebvideos #diplomacy #newdelhi #lac #sco #ustariffs #foreignpolicy #indiachinatalks #geopolitics #operationsindoor #indiapakistan #indiatoday
