Fu Cong, China’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, strongly condemned the recent US-Israel military strikes on Iran, calling them a "brazen" use of force that has escalated tensions in the Middle East.
Speaking at the UN, Fu said China opposes the use or threat of force in international relations and stressed that Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity must be respected. He expressed deep concern over reported civilian casualties and warned that "indiscriminate use of force is unacceptable." Emphasising adherence to international humanitarian law, China urged all parties to protect civilians and avoid targeting civilian infrastructure.
