A major encounter in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma region has resulted in the death of 16 Naxals. Security forces seized a large cache of weapons. Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Chhattisgarh on April 4 to chair a meeting on anti-Naxal operations. The government aims to eradicate Naxalism by March 2026. This is the second major encounter in a week, following the killing of 13 Naxals in Bijapur on March 20.
