The Uttar Pradesh government has launched a bulldozer action in Balrampur, demolishing the mansion of a cleric accused of running a large-scale religious conversion racket. Authorities claim the property was built on encroached land. The cleric is alleged to have received foreign funding of up to ₹100 crore and to have lured around 40 girls into converting to Islam. A price list for conversions was reportedly recovered, with rates ranging from ₹8–10 lakh for girls from certain castes, and up to ₹15–16 lakh for Brahmin or Sikh girls. The UP Anti-Terrorism Squad is probing the funding sources, while the crackdown involved multiple departments, including police and the electricity board. #bulldozeraction #upgovernment #conversionracket #foreignfunding #illegalconstruction #ats
