The house was scheduled to hear from the defence minister on the Pehalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor. The speaker questioned the opposition’s actions, stating that discussions on ten important ministries, including education, environment, finance, and labour, were planned. Addressing the opposition, the speaker asked, "The country wants to know why you want to adjourn the Question Hour?" The speaker noted that political parties, including one represented by Mr. Gogoi, had previously agreed to a discussion on Operation Sindoor but were now obstructing the house. The adjournment followed accusations that opposition members were disrupting the session with placards.
