In chaotic scenes, opposition members surrounded the Treasury Bench, tore up copies of the bill, and threw them towards the Home Minister. The situation inside the House became extremely tense, with members from the ruling party attempting to intervene. One of the proposals tabled by the Home Minister was, "Mahoday Mein Prastav karta Hoon Ki Bharat ke Samvidhan ka Sanshodhan karne vaale vidheyak ko pure sthapit karne Ki Anumati Vijay."
