An avalanche struck a Border Roads Organization camp between Mana and Badrinath in Chamoli, Uttarakhand, burying 54 construction workers. Rescue operations by ITBP, NDRF, SDRF, and Army personnel concluded with 46 workers rescued and 8 fatalities. Fresh snowfall complicated rescue efforts. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami monitored the operation, and Prime Minister offered assistance. Survivors were airlifted to Joshimath Army Hospital.
