The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Sunday clarified that the Central government has “no intention” of presenting any bill regarding Chandigarh’s administration in the upcoming Winter Session of Parliament, beginning December 1, 2025. The MHA added that the proposal, aimed at simplifying the Centre’s law-making process for Chandigarh, is still “under consideration” and that “no final decision” has been taken.
