Speaking at the Shangri-La Dialogue, he highlighted the effectiveness of indigenous platforms like the Akash missile system and stressed that India cannot rely 100% on foreign elements. The CDS also noted that Indian defence systems are being modernised regularly, with a focus on Atmanirbharta (self-reliance) in the armed forces.
