Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan has revealed key details of the strategy behind Operation Sindoor. In a disclosure, he stated that precision strikes on terror bases were conducted between 1 and 1:30 am. This timing was chosen for two main reasons: to evade satellite surveillance and to avoid civilian casualties. He explained that there was confidence in the armed forces’ capabilities to capture imagery even in the dark. The decision was also made to avoid civilian movement and the early morning azaan, especially in areas like Bhawalpur and Muridke, which could have led to unintended deaths.
