The Cabinet Committee on Security met for the second time in a week to review the strategic and security situation after the Pahalgam terror attack. Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired multiple high-level meetings including the CCS, CCPA, CCEA and full cabinet. Sources indicate the government is preparing on multiple fronts – diplomatic, military and counter-terror operations. The Prime Minister has given full operational freedom to the armed forces to respond. Meanwhile, NIA investigations are ongoing at the attack site to unearth the conspiracy.
