The border security force (BSF), in coordination with Punjab police, successfully recovered a drone in the border area of Amritsar district last night, thwarting an apparent cross-border intrusion attempt. The operation was based on reliable intelligence provided by the BSF intelligence wing. acting on the tip-off, BSF troops, along with Punjab police personnel, conducted a search operation in the area around 7:10 pm near the village of Hardo ratan, located in the Amritsar district. During the operation, the BSF troops recovered a dji mavic 3 classic drone from a farming field. the drone, which is commonly used for surveillance and payload delivery, was found abandoned in the area. the recovery highlights the increasing use of drones by elements across the border to smuggle arms, ammunition, and other contraband into India. A BSF spokesperson confirmed that the timely action by the security forces had successfully foiled the latest attempt to breach India’s security along the Punjab border. "based on the reliable input from our intelligence wing, and with prompt coordination between the BSF and Punjab police, we have successfully thwarted another drone intrusion," the spokesperson said.
