Breaking: SC Agrees To List Plea On Udaipur Files Release Challenging Delhi HC Stay
The Supreme Court on Monday refused an urgent hearing but agreed to list the plea challenging the Delhi High Court’s order that stayed the release of the film Udaipur Files. Senior Advocate Gaurav Bhatia, appearing for the producers, mentioned the matter before the bench led by Justice Surya Kant. Bhatia argued that the producer had invested his lifetime savings into the movie and had even secured a Censor Board certificate, yet the Delhi High Court wrongly intervened to stop the release.
Responding to the mentioning, Justice Surya Kant assured that the matter would be listed for hearing later this week, saying: “Ok, we shall list it after a day or so.”
