Breaking News: Pakistan Goods Worth Rs 9 Crore Seized At Navi Mumbai, DRI Seizes 39 Containers
In a major crackdown, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized Pakistani goods worth ₹9 crore at Navi Mumbai’s Nhava Sheva port under "Operation Deep Manifest." Officials intercepted 39 containers carrying 1,115 metric tonnes of goods illegally routed via Dubai to bypass India’s import ban on Pakistani-origin items imposed after the Pahalgam terror attacks. The consignments were falsely declared as UAE-origin. One importer has been arrested. Investigations revealed a complex network involving Pakistani and UAE nationals, financial links to Pakistan, and manipulation of shipping documents to obscure the true origin of the goods.
