The Delhi Police Crime Branch has dismantled a significant international arms smuggling syndicate linked to the Sidhu Moosewala murder case. Following the arrest of 10 individuals and the recovery of a massive weapons consignment manufactured in Turkey, Brazil, and Germany, the police intercepted a car and arrested two more suspects, Imran and Kamran. Imran is identified as the brother-in-law and relative of Shahbaz Ansari, the alleged kingpin who is currently hiding in Bangladesh. Investigative reports indicate that Shahbaz Ansari, who previously jumped bail in the National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe into the Moosewala case, orchestrates the procurement of sophisticated weapons from Pakistan. These arms, including machine guns and AK-47s, are reportedly smuggled into India via Nepal for various criminal gangs, including the Lawrence Bishnoi syndicate. During interrogation, it was revealed that the intercepted vehicle contained a hidden cavity used to conceal weapons. The Delhi Police continue to probe the network’s extensive international links spanning Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh.
