LIVE: Plane Carrying Tahawwur Rana Lands In Palam Airport | Tahawwur Rana Extradition
Mumbai terror attack accused Tahawwur Rana arrives in India today in a major breakthrough in the 26/11 case. Extradited from the United States after the Supreme Court rejected his final appeal, Rana faces investigation by the NIA for his role in aiding David Headley. Upon landing in Delhi, he will be escorted in a bulletproof vehicle under heavy security. Delhi Police’s Special Cell, SWAT commandos, and high-level intelligence units have been deployed as part of multi-layered security arrangements.
Mumbai terror attacks accused Tahawwur Rana lands in Delhi on Thursday following his extradition from the United States, security was ramped up at various locations in the national capital, including Palam Technical Airport and Patiala House Court Complex.
Security started beefing up at the airport from 10 am with a Delhi Police van entering the premises and two to three police control room (PCR) vans starting to circle the road outside.
Heavy security is expected to be deployed to ferry Rana to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) office, with a bullet-proof vehicle expected to be among the cavalry. Delhi Police’s Special Cell will deploy SWAT personnel to escort Rana safely,
