A 30-year-old woman, identified as Sunita, was allegedly hacked to death by her ex-husband, Mahesh, in Hyderabad. The accused reportedly forcibly entered the victim’s house and attacked her with a knife and sickle, also striking her head with a flower pot. According to details provided, the victim died on the spot due to severe injuries. The accused, who had returned from Canada in March 2024, allegedly bore a grudge following their 2024 divorce and the victim’s recent remarriage. The speaker noted that the accused ‘came in a van, he carried some sharp knives and what we are learning, petrol, 5 litre petrol in a bottle along with him, entered the flat and attacked Sunita in her room’. After the assault, the accused allegedly locked himself in a bathroom before being apprehended by the Hyderabad police. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination as the investigation continues into the planned conspiracy.
