BREAKING: 22 Indian Ships With 1.7 Million Tonnes of Energy Cargo Remain Stuck in Strait of Hormuz
22 Indian-flagged vessels remain stuck west of the Strait of Hormuz. These ships are carrying approximately 1.7 million tonnes of critical energy cargo, including 1.67 million tonnes of crude oil, 3.2 lakh tonnes of LPG, and 2 lakh tonnes of LNG. All 611 Indian seafarers aboard these 22 vessels are reported safe. While most remain stuck, a few ships, including the Shivalik, Nanda Devi, and Jag Laadki, were recently granted safe passage and have reached Indian ports like Mundra and Kandla. The Indian government is in direct talks with Tehran to secure a "safe passage" for the remaining energy-critical ships.
