A bomb squad was dispatched to the location to conduct a thorough search. The incident adds to a series of recent hoax threats targeting institutions like schools and airlines. A senior advocate speaking to India Today noted the severe disruption such threats cause to the justice system, stating, “…in the case of the courts, it means that the administration of justice… hundreds of cases are adjourned.” The threat also brings back memories of the 2011 bomb blast at the Delhi High Court, which led to the implementation of high-security measures that are currently in place.
