An explosion occurred outside the BJP office in Sector 37, Chandigarh, damaging a black scooter and shattering the front pane of a nearby car. The blast was heard from a considerable distance, with debris scattered on the wall near the explosion site. Chandigarh Police and forensic teams reached the spot to investigate the incident. According to police officials at the scene, preliminary findings suggest a small crude device was thrown at the location. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) teams, along with the Central Forensic Science Laboratory, Chandigarh Police Operations, Crime Branch, and District Crime Cell teams are conducting the investigation. The blast occurred despite heightened security and barricading in the area. Police officials have not yet disclosed details about the nature of the explosive device or the motive behind the explosion, stating that more information will be shared once the investigation progresses.
