The BJP has announced it will boycott an all-party meeting called by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on 5 March regarding the language policy. Instead, the BJP plans to launch a signature campaign on the same day, advocating for the implementation of the National Education Policy and three-language formula in Tamil Nadu. Stalin has urged all parties to participate without politicising the issue.
