The Bharatiya Janata Party has released its first list of 29 candidates for the Delhi Assembly elections. Parvesh Verma will contest against Arvind Kejriwal in New Delhi constituency. Ramesh Biduri will face Atishi in Kalkaji. The list includes two women candidates. BJP is the last major party to announce its candidates, following the Aam Aadmi Party and Congress. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has termed AAP as ‘Aapda’ (disaster) in his campaign rhetoric.
