A class 11 student, Selvan Mughalian, has been found dead inside a well at his school in Tamil Nadu’s Tirupathur district. The student, who lived in the hostel at the government-aided Dominic Savio Higher Secondary School, was reported missing on Friday. His body was found floating in the school’s well yesterday. The student’s parents are alleging foul play, highlighting that a grill on top of the well was closed when the body was discovered. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is questioning the circumstances, with Naina Nagendran asking, "was there any foul play involved?" Nagendran has also sought the chief minister’s intervention to ensure the protection of schoolchildren.
