The Election Commission has released the revised voter list for Bihar’s Patna district following a Special Intensive Revision (SIR). Initial reports suggested an increase of 1.63 lakh voters compared to the draft list from August 1st, 2025, causing confusion. However, this figure represents names added back after an initial deletion of four lakh names. As clarified during the broadcast, “out of four lakh whose names were deleted, only 1,63,000 have been again added to the voter list. It means that there is almost two and a half lakh voters whose names have been deleted in Patna.” The process, undertaken after 22 years, has faced criticism from opposition parties. Voters not on the final list have a 10-day grace period to apply for registration. The onus is now on political parties’ booth-level agents to scrutinize the lists and assist voters ahead of the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. #bihar #voterlist #elections #itwebvideos #biharelections #patna #electioncommission #sir #voterrevision #indianpolitics #breakingnews #voterrights #democracy #biharnews #voterregistration #electionupdate
