The Election Commission has announced the schedule for the Bihar Assembly elections in 2025. Polling for 243 constituencies will occur in two phases on November 6 and November 11, with the counting of votes on November 14. This election marks the debut of 17 new initiatives that will later be implemented across the country. These reforms include 100% webcasting at all 90,712 polling stations, a unified ECINet digital platform for all election-related apps, and a facility for voters to deposit mobile phones outside polling stations. Acknowledging the recent purification of voter lists after 22 years, the commission highlighted improved accessibility for voters with a new direct contact system, stating, "The entire election machinery of Bihar is just a call away." Home voting facilities will be available for citizens over 85 and persons with over 40% disability.
