Bihar Minister Nitin Nabin Appointed BJP National Working President | India Today

India Today’s Aishwarya Paliwal reports on the significant appointment of Bihar Minister Nitin Nabin as the new National Working President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Speaking on the development, Paliwal highlights that the party sought a leader who ‘understands the working of the RSS as well as understands the working of the BJP.’ The move is seen as a strategic preparation for the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu in 2026, and Uttar Pradesh in 2027. Paliwal notes that Nabin, whose father was also an MLA, represents a generational shift and a bridge between the organisation and the government. The bulletin also features a congratulatory message from BJP Bihar President Dilip Jaiswal, who termed the appointment a ‘great honor’ for the state unit. Paliwal adds that a cabinet reshuffle and further organisational changes are expected in the coming days.
