The political battle for Bihar intensifies with Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor and the BJP trading serious allegations. Reacting to Kishor’s claims, BJP MP Rajiv Pratap Rudy said, ‘I am amused rather shocked’. Kishor alleges that the BJP is using intimidation and pressure tactics, resulting in three of his candidates withdrawing from the assembly polls. He specifically named Union Ministers, claiming they are leaning on his candidates to exit the electoral race. In response, the BJP has challenged Kishor to contest elections himself to grasp the ground reality. The developments come as reports suggest Union Home Minister Amit Shah has been holding meetings with Bihar’s party leaders to manage internal dissent and strengthen the NDA’s campaign.
