Olympic wrestlers Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia joined the Congress on Friday ahead of next month’s Haryana Assembly polls. The wrestlers met Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge in Delhi before addressing a press conference where party leader KC Venugopal announced their induction.
The long-speculated development came two days after they met with Congress MP and former party chief Rahul Gandhi in Delhi.
